The central plant of Atieh 2 Hospital features a sophisticated and integrated system designed to ensure optimal thermal comfort, safety, and energy efficiency.
For cooling, the hospital utilizes four steam absorption chillers, each rated at 1,000 tons of refrigeration, delivering a combined capacity of 4,000 tons. This system is supported by eight rooftop cooling towers that dissipate heat and improve overall efficiency.
Heating is provided by four firetube steam boilers producing 56 tons of steam per hour, which is distributed through heat exchangers and coiled tanks to supply space heating and domestic hot water.
The facility also includes essential water treatment components, such as deaerators to eliminate corrosive gases and water softeners to prevent scale formation. A robust network of over 45 pumps and strategically placed water storage tanks ensures stable pressure and reliable water supply throughout the hospital.
